Xiaomi’s latest Redmi G Pro gaming laptop was released at the end of 2022, featuring top-notch hardware like the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti and Intel Core i9-12900H. After about a year and a half, Xiaomi hinted at the 2024 successor at a recent product launch event in China.
Now, the company has officially announced the release date for the gaming laptop. According to the poster, the 2024 Redmi G Pro laptop will launch in China on March 4, offering 210 watts of performance.
The CPU and GPU configuration in the announcement poster includes the Intel Core i9-14900HX and Nvidia RTX 4060. While the processor is a significant upgrade, the GPU is not as impressive. In our tests, the mobile RTX 4060 performed between the laptop RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti.
However, we expect more configurations to be available. The laptop appeared on Geekbench earlier this year with a Core i5-14500HX and RTX 4060, likely the base model. There are also rumors of a variant with the Nvidia RTX 4070.
