LeBron James reached a remarkable milestone by scoring a whopping 40,000 points! However, Nikola Jokic played an outstanding game with 35 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Denver Nuggets to a victorious 124-114 win against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Aaron Gordon made a 3-pointer to give Denver the lead late in the game, and they finished strong with a 16-6 run for their sixth win in a row. Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points, Jamal Murray had 24 points and 11 assists, and Gordon added 18 points.

Even though James had 26 points and nine assists, the Lakers couldn’t secure their third consecutive victory. Rui Hachimura got 23 points, and Anthony Davis helped with 17 points and 11 rebounds. All five Lakers starters scored at least 17 points!
During the game, James made history by becoming the first NBA player to reach 40,000 points. He received a standing ovation, a pat on the chest from coach Darvin Ham, and a special video presentation in the arena. Fans showed their support by wearing jerseys from James’ different teams throughout his career.

Additionally, Davis, Hachimura, and D’Angelo Russell each scored 13 points for their respective teams. The Lakers showcased their shooting skills by making 57.4% of their shots from the field, converting 27 out of 47 attempts.
As for the Nuggets, Jokic displayed his usual brilliance by leading his team with 16 points, along with five rebounds and four assists. Porter also had a great shooting display, making all three of his 3-point attempts. However, the rest of the Denver team struggled from beyond the arc, only managing to convert 2 out of 11 attempts (18.2%).
